A wooden frame house was designed on a small plot in the transforming context of Pavilnys. This introvert house is made up of separate functional archetypal house volumes encircling the inner terrace. All these are integrated by a connecting structural unit. Traditional finishing materials, natural clay tiles and untreated larch boards distinguish the building in the diverse neighbourhood. Although inwardly oriented, the house opens to the surrounding nature, allowing its residents to move freely between the outside and the inside, its very form creating certain 'intimacy' of the space and providing a safe haven from the surrounding world.
